Despite of that, I don't have any other commentary on this software, since I never had any bad experience with it, neither did I need to contact its support team. I would like to see a different User Interface (UI) more intuitive and user-friendly. If I had to point any negative characteristic about Keybase, it would be the layout of the app. It is definitely a critical feature every chat app must respect! I firstly found this app on the Zoom App Marketplace and I got rapidly convinced by its features: the ease of file sharing, the teams I can join and create and even the crypto wallet available on this app! I'm really glad I found this app and I can easily recommend it. What I like the most about Keybase is the end-to-end encryption. ![]() Up until now I have had a good experience with Keybase and I can easily recommend it to anyone who wants a software focused productivity and team-based. Overall, Keybase is a great piece of software with incredible features (more than a medium user would need) and the app is well integrated with the Zoom Meetings app itself. Also sometimes the application seems to slow down a bit when encrypting big files. You may find it difficult to find your contacts on Keybase due to the same reasons. It takes some time to get used to the features and functionalities. Keybase seems a bit intimidating at first. It could be a really strange application for those who are not aware of cryptography and encryption technologies. The website could be accessed under domain name. Another cool feature is that we can also host simple website in the public folder. The way they demonstrate their features is really cool. They also have a really good documentation. Keybase also comes with an integrated Stellar lumens cryptocurrency wallet through which we can also send other popular cryptocurrencies. Unlike other git repository hosting services, Keybase' git is fully encrypted which makes it more secure. The storage is not expandable as of now, but the company is planning to introduce purchasable storage soon. The cloud storage falls under three category, public files - which is publicly visible, private files - which we can use to store files privately and finally team files - visible to a group of people who are members of a team created by us. ![]() Chris Dixon, in his message announcing a 10.8 million investment in Keybase. It is a centralized system that applies end-to-end (E2E) encryption to every message you send and every file you store. You can also create sub-teams and channels like in slack. Keybase is a secure messaging and file-sharing service. The chat feature is best if you are concerned about the security of your messages especially if you want to manage a team. You can also prove your social media identity using Keybase (not account verification). This means anything that Keybase holds is nearly impossible to decrypt (even if the servers are hacked). Keybase is an all in one place for team collaboration similar to Slack, cloud storage with up to 250GB of free space, a git version control system and a cryptocurrency wallet (stellar lumens) all with the power of 256-bit encryption technology. Keybase is a good platform for those who are concerned about security, more notably for business people.

He’s not around much now, but for a while everyone knew us for ‘Naked Guy’.” Howard adds: “He’s the mark of a proper Horse Meat. Stanton gives the example of Ernesto Sarezale, a performance poet who would dance naked. The title of Sanctuary, with guests the Phenomenal Handclap Band, nods to HMD being a place of refuge. Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge adds diva vocals, while the new wave scene is summed up by Burn, which is pure Talking Heads (always popular at the club). It follows the structure of a night there – even if nowadays the best you can do is “work your disco wiggle” while seated, as Stanton puts it – via disco’s many flavours. That debut album, out this week, is called Love and Dancing: the club’s vibe in a nutshell. And when Amy Douglas did Let’s Go Dancing with that refrain, ‘Boys and girls sing let’s go dancing’, that’s when we knew we had an album.” “He made it sound like a slower Frankie Knuckles mix – that got our attention. “But they sat on the shelf for five years.” The producer Luke Solomon, also an A&R at the house label Defected, got wind of them and reworked their track Waiting For You to Call. We did four, but it’s so expensive licensing those old classics.” After a suggestion from Tim Goldsworthy, then the head of DFA Records, they collaborated with a studio engineer, Darren Morris, to make their own disco tracks: “Slow cosmic stuff, some Philadelphia soul-ish, some proto house,” says Howard. Panzetta says they “couldn’t go on for ever releasing disco compilations. “They were just relieved to find a gay club playing disco!” ![]() Our music – which could be Madonna or could be some deep Afro or cosmic track – fits on any festival bill too.” CD compilations and a Sunday afternoon show on Rinse FM raised their profile further (“We get all soulful and help people’s hangovers subside”) and Howard notes that it also chimed with the “nu-disco” scene that rose in the mid-00s with the likes of Todd Terje and Prins Thomas. Panzetta, who has been with HMD since that fateful New Year’s Day in 2004, says it became popular “because no one was really doing that on the queer scene: playing disco and having fun, basically. Because being queer doesn’t have to be a sexual thing, you know what I mean?” But with a queer aesthetic and a queer sensibility. Hillard adds: “We made it clear from the off that it was for every tribe, every gender, every sexuality. “We always said that the best parties we’d been to – and the best throughout queer clubbing history – have been ones with the most mixed-up crowd,” Stanton explains. Hillard dubbed their weekly Sunday night a “queer party for all”, way before clubland and society in general were talking about safe spaces and diversity. “They had a full Friday night buffet the event was called Chunkies. “It was a proper bears club then,” Hillard remembers – bears being hirsute, full-bodied gay men. Kicked out of a venue in Chinatown “because they wanted to change the name, the music policy … everything but the healthy bar take, basically”, Stanton says, they found a home for their event in Dukes (now Eagle London). “They were all cookie-cutter hard house rip-offs of Trade, or basic funky house,” Stanton grimaces. In 2004, though, HMD’s co-founders Stanton and James Hillard were jobbing around the city’s dance scene alongside future residents Howard and Severino Panzetta, wanting a place to play 70s and 80s disco absent from the queer clubs of the day. Mick Jagger has popped in to dance, Marc Almond has “been a few times” and the US actor and singer Vanessa Williams came last year (“She did selfies with security and everything,” Howard says). The Horse Meat Disco crew have since headlined international music festivals, hosted DJ residencies in NYC, Berlin and Lisbon, played more Pride events than they can name and hosted their heroes, too. ![]() In fact, he asks her (or him, I have no idea who lyricist Sammy Cahn was currently into as gender is not specified in the song) to hold him tight all the way home so that he will be warm. So why does this song sound so joyful and exultant? Well, because thanks to the snow, you might be getting some hot lady action. There go my happy childhood memories, crushed beyond recognition. The only good thing about snow is staying inside to avoid it. We move on from calling the snowy weather “frightful” to saying “I hate going out in the storm.” According to this song, snow sucks. You know, frightfully awesome! But no, the snow is not a good thing in this song. “Oh the weather outside is frightful.” Frightful! How did I not pick up on that? I guess I thought it meant frightful in the same way that Count Chocula cereal is frightfully delicious. The clues were all there, right from the very first line. The song does not mean what I think it means. It’s snowing, and so to celebrate this first “walk to school in the snow” moment of the year I broke out my favorite anthem of snow celebration, that classic winter song of joy, “Let it Snow.” And never before today had it occurred to me that I’m using it incorrectly. Their shank tends to be heavier and thicker than other rings. The gemstone can become loose and fall out. They do have several serious disadvantages, though, for example: The ends of the shank close on the gem and apply enough pressure to hold it in place.Įngagement rings with tension settings are attractive and intriguing because their centre gemstone seems suspended in the air. They then widen the opening in the shank and place the gem between the two ends. When jewellers are ready to set a diamond or other gemstone in a tension setting like this, they carefully measure the gemstone and then cut small grooves in each side of the shank’s opening to hold the edges of the gem. This opening is carefully made so that it exerts a significant amount of pressure when it is widened. They have a specially-designed shank that is left open at the top. The tension setting and the tension-style settingĮngagement rings with a true tension setting capture the grace and elegance of Art Nouveau. Ancient Roman jewellers used it to set red garnets, purplish-blue amethyst and orange carnelian in all types of jewellery and weaponry during the 1 st century A.D. Interesting trivia: The bezel setting is one of the oldest gem settings around. Reduces sparkle and brilliance and must be well-made to compensate for this.Depending on how it is made, the bezel setting can make the gemstone look smaller than it actually is.Easy to clean and requires almost no professional maintenance.Wears exceptionally well even for people with an active lifestyle.Does not snag on clothing since the top of the setting is smooth.Keeps the centre gemstone from being chipped or scratched.Jewellers frequently recommend the bezel setting for people who lead very active lives since it helps the ring to wear well and gives the centre gemstone extra protection. The bezel setting also keeps the gemstone from being scratched or chipped as the ring is worn. 2. The bezel settingīecause the bezel setting is made from one piece of metal that folds over the top of the gem, it is extremely secure. There is practically no risk of the diamond or other gemstone falling out of the setting. Its centre stone was a 33 carat, Asscher cut diamond that was held in place by a prong setting. For example: In 1968, Richard Burton gave Elizabeth Taylor one of the largest engagement rings of all time. Interesting trivia: Most famous engagement rings use prong settings for the centre gemstone. It is important to buy engagement rings with prong settings from experienced jewellers who will design the setting with an ideal height. If the prong setting is set too high, it can catch on clothing. The prongs can become loose over time, but most jewellers check and tighten the prongs during routine cleanings to prevent this from happening.Keeps the centre gemstone safe and secure. The height of the setting and style of the prongs can be personalized.Requires minimal maintenance and is easy to clean. It is a universal setting that overflows with classical beauty. Can be used with gems of any size or shape. This increases light play, brilliance and fire. Minimal presence of gold and other precious metals.Raises the centre diamond or other primary gemstone and gives it emphasis. The most attractive are the standard orientation of 4 prongs forming a square, 4 prongs set diagonally and 6 prongs forming a hexagon. The prongs in a prong setting can be set in a variety of ways. Prongs can be set in different orientations Each of these settings has its own beauty, advantages and disadvantages. ![]() There are 4 main settings that are used for centre gemstones. ![]() There are, however, benefits to working from a photograph as well. You are already immersed and absorbed in the beauty of the scenery. The benefit of plein air painting is that you can see the landscape right in front of you. Plein air is a French term that means "in the open air". Landscapes can be painted plein air or from a photograph. The main unifying element of any of these -scape artworks is that they all center around some kind of scenery. For example, they can also include images of seascapes, cloudscapes, skyscapes, riverscapes, or cityscapes (otherwise known as "urban landscapes"). Landscape paintings also aren't necessarily limited to depictions of land. ![]() Landscapes can also be surreal and purely imaginative, as in Dali's unusual and dreamlike artwork. A good example of artists who work in this method are the Aboriginal artists of Australia who create intensely detailed abstract paintings.(You can see an example of one of my colorful abstract landscape paintings below, which was inspired in part by Australian Aboriginal art.) Another group of painters who adapted the use of color to form highly emotional, creative landscapes are the Fauvists, who chose wildly unexpected colors for a jarring and unsettling effect. For instance, a landscape painting can be created in an abstract manner, in which the imagery is imbued with a deeper spiritual meaning. But landscape painting does not need to replicate a specific place. They can be painted realistically, in an effort to replicate nature as closely as possible (such as my Fields of Gold pastel painting below). Landscape artists can choose to depict their vision of the earth in a variety of ways. Throughout history, artists have found endless inspiration in the mysterious beauty of nature and the grandeur of the earth's varied landscapes. the earth provides endless inspirations for visual artists. If you are out looking for a drop of inspiration, look no further than the paintings of famous landscapes below, one after another, and high chances are that those landscape painting ideas will start planting seeds in your head too. From desolated buildings to love-infused couples - you wouldn’t be surprised to know that the most famous landscape paintings are able to combine several of these elements into one perfect piece of art. A painting of a landscape can have a lot of different elements in it, including man-made structures as well as people. We only see the world from our eyes, but creative works, like paintings, allow us to see the same thing from a different set of eyes. Plenty of beautiful landscape paintings can combine reality and fiction.
